It’s important to begin training your humans early on so they know the basic rules. This way you’ll have a smooth go of it and a household that runs the way you want it to from day one. Your humans are trainable if you train them from day one and are consistent. Don’t let them come up with house rules on their own as then it’s harder, though not impossible, to un-do their bad habits.
If you have to throw up, first find your owner’s favorite chair, if you can’t get to that chair in time, look for the most expensive rug in the house, if you can’t find that in time then any carpet area will do. Make sure not to throw up on floors that can be easily cleaned and mopped up such as vinyl, laminate, tile or hard wood.
Do not allow closed doors in ANY room. If your humans do close a door in the house then any repetitive, annoying sounds will usually get the door back open. Scratching the door non-stop while whining or barking loudly and continuously works every time as long as you are persistent enough. This also applies to outside doors, although once you’ve ordered an outside door open, it’s not actually necessary to go out. You should just stand in the doorway and take your time considering your options especially if it’s raining, snowing or just very cold or hot or mosquito season.
When any human goes to the bathroom ALWAYS accompany them. You don’t have to do anything once you’re there, just sit there and stare at them intently.
It’s your job to supervise whenever your human starts cooking. If you sit just behind them where they can’t see you, you have a better chance of them accidentally stepping on you. This way they will usually feel bad and pick you up and console you with food.
